Council is seeking applications from enthusiastic motivated individuals for the following position.
STORMWATER & FLOOD ENGINEER (Permanent)
This position is to provide specialist professional advice, technical support and detailed engineering designs relating to stormwater drainage and flooding engineering related matters. To identify areas for improvements to Council’s stormwater drainage system including flooding outcomes for the Local Government Area. Also, to prepare, supervise and monitor contracts from design phase through to practical completion.
Qualifications: The successful applicant will require to hold a Degree in Civil Engineering acceptable to the Institution of Engineers Australia or demonstrated experience at an appropriate level to competently carry out the position’s key tasks. Hold a current Australian Drivers Licence and a General Construction Induction Training certificate (GIT or White card). Please include copies of all relevant licenses and qualifications with your application.
Hours of work: 35 hours per week.
Salary and conditions: Annual salary range from $91,244.92 to $100,373.00 (Grade 16) Plus civil liability allowance and superannuation.
