Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Intermediate BIM Manager - Tunnel to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Gurgaon/ Gurugram – Delhi NCR
As the successful candidate, you will:
o Strong understanding of principles of civil engineering and underground support and foundation design
o Evaluate efficiency of construction methods and procedures,
o Ensure compliance with quality standards, drafts and projects specifications
o Reading and interpreting civil drawings;
o Be proactive as part of the project Design Lead / Tunneling team;
o Able to self-check drawings and those produced by others as required.
o Based on rough engineering sketches and verbal descriptions combined with extensive experience, candidates must have astute recognition of the level of detail required for the detailed design phase (approved for construction)
o Provide directives, setting up DE management plans for the company and at project levels integrating CADD, REVIT, BIM360, GIS, Federated models (Navisworks platform) as required by clients.
o Setting up CAD templates, management of QA, input into drafting activities as required.
o Performing all work to satisfy company, client and government conditions, policies, procedures, regulations and standards;
Main management and coordination tasks will include:
o Using global tunnel and UG works design experience he/she should be able to direct a team of modelers (local office, remote office) to deliver as per project’s DG plan and manual.
o Coordinate operations and budget in compliance with project specifications and safety requirements
o Manage project documentation and staff.
You bring to the role:
Civil Engineering degree or civil construction design diploma equivalent Minimum 6-8 years of relevant industry experience,
2 years in a similar Lead Designer- Modeler position – delivering global infrastructure projects
High end user of BIM & modeling software, such as AutoCAD Civil 3d, Revit, Rhino, Tekla, Revizto . BIM Coordination Tools (Navisworks, BIM360); Bluebeam
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management and teamwork skills
Eager to develop and lead a team of modelers under this leadership
Enthusiasm for fieldwork and a willingness to constantly learn and develop
Good attention to detail with the ability to deliver high quality results within budget, quality and time constraints
The desire to produce outstanding results for your clients and employer on a daily basis.
This position may need international travelling to projects (mainly in Australia, Canada, South Africa) to set up the DE management system, workflow system, coordinate the project DE team and drafters for project delivery assignment. Each duration may last up to 6 to 8 weeks.
The main tasks to be performed by this team under this person will be:
o Coordinate with project engineers, modeling, and drafting team
o Drawing and fitting of general and structural design drawings.
o Creation and modification of geometry, layouts, prestressing, reinforcement, construction processes and details drawings.
o Creation and modification of steel & concrete structure drawings, models with accurate BoQ and quantity take off.
o Drawing and creation of reinforcement BBS
o excellent working knowledge of Revit, as well as the ability to provide technical drafting feedback to the engineering project team. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision is essential
