Hatch is seeking a highly motivated Software Developer in Test with a focus on front-end technologies to join the Product Development team in the Digital Practice.

We are looking for a Software Developer in Test to add to our dynamic team. A Software Developer in Test at Hatch would be responsible for developing and executing automation tests, in addition to planning and executing effective and efficient automating testing in order to provide timely, effective and efficient delivery of high-quality software solutions across different platforms.

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Be responsible for the analysis of functional business and system requirements to develop test scenarios and test conditions (interface and back-end systems and applications)
• Develop and execute manual and automated testing plans for software applications to successfully and consistently enable delivery of high-quality standards.
• Assist with creating documentation such as test plan management, use case, test scenarios. Evaluate, test and troubleshoot software repeatedly in order to detect errors, bugs and recommend bug fixes.
• Work with Agile teams of developers, analysts, QA staff and business partners to plan and execute automated tests.
• Find opportunities to apply existing automation or other tools to meet testing needs.
• Research and remain abreast on quality standards and best practices relevant to current and future initiatives and development work.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with different levels of partners from different parts of the world.
• Report software problems (bugs, defects) in clear written form with reproducible steps, but also overall areas of risk and complexity, with suggested mitigation plans.

You bring to the role:

• 6+ years’ experience working as an automation specialist working in a team environment.
• Proven capabilities in Java, Selenium, Cucumber, Postman.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training or work experience.

Working knowledge in the following areas consider an asset:

• Knowledge of accessibility standards and tools to support testing of these standards.
• DevOps, CI/CD best practices and related technologies.
• Azure cloud technology and services

• Crear y mantener hojas de ruta de productos complejas, backlogs y documentos de apoyo que permitan a los equipos mixtos llevar a cabo el trabajo de acuerdo al plan.
• Interactuar con todas las partes interesadas y grupos de usuarios representativos para determinar la estrategia y los requisitos de la solución, comunicándose cuando sea necesario para garantizar que haya expertos en la materia disponibles del negocio, revisar el progreso, demostrar resultados provisionales del trabajo, apoyar o realizar pruebas de usuario y asegurarse de que se realicen lanzamientos de producción.

• Fuertes habilidades analíticas para comprender y tomar decisiones respaldadas por datos, tendencias e información de gestión.
• Un sólido conocimiento comercial y técnico.
• Fuertes habilidades y técnicas de facilitación para respaldar la recopilación de requisitos y la priorización.
• Trabajar en un entorno de equipo para garantizar que las historias de usuario se ejecuten, prueben, revisen con el negocio y se informe y comprenda todo el progreso.
