As a Field Structural Engineer at our client, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of civil (earthworks, roads, buried services), concrete, and structural packages.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Proactive technical engineering support, quality site supervision, and coordination of multidiscipline engineering activities.
You will ensure projects are executed in a safe, efficient, cost-effective, and timely manner.
Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with project technical execution and documentation requirements, managing documentation through to contract closeout, and acting as a coordination interface with clients to meet their expectations.
Your expertise will ensure that projects conform to the client's approved Basis of Design and all applicable regulatory and code requirements.
You will also work closely with the home office engineering team to proactively resolve technical queries, engineering, or quality issues.
Skills & Experience:
Have hands-on experience on EPCM projects in the execution phase, from the commencement of detailed engineering, coordination of procurement activities, and management of construction contract.
Possess expertise in the management of purchase orders and contracts for Civil and Concrete project execution, including site administration, technical engineering support, contractor activity coordination, resolution of technical queries, and management of engineering and quality documentation.
Demonstrate a full commitment to excellent health and safety outcomes.
Have 10+ years of experience, including at least 6 years in relevant supervisory, engineering, and/or technical roles, with a preference for previous field engineering experience.
Bring substantial technical, practical, and leadership experience in the relevant discipline, along with proven experience in package management on similar-sized projects.
Be capable of making independent decisions and setting priorities related to complex situations based on established guidelines, while considering the cost and schedule impacts to the project.
Be competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint, with the ability to organise information from various sources in adherence to prescribed formats and policies.
Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
What's on Offer:
We are looking for a candidate to work FIFO on a 2:1 roster, the project is based in Southwest NSW, and are offering an initial 12-month contract and a rate of $105 per hour.
