The role
This role is a pivotal leadership position responsible for managing the Development Engineering team within the Projects & Engineering department. The role is responsible for the coordination of development engineering including but not limited to strategic land use planning advice, pre-DA lodgment advice, engineering assessment of DA’s, construction certificates (civil works), development project surveillance, asset returns and Land and Environment Court advice.
The successful candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a similar field and have demonstrated knowledge of legislative requirements within the scope of this role.. Your well honed negotiation skills will allow you to liaise and build constructive and influential relationships, with both internal and external stakeholders, thus benefiting our local community. Naturally you will have excellent time management, skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines whilst working autonomously.
We're looking for a dynamic leader who is people orientated and strongly focused on developing and mentoring their team in order to achieve high quality outcomes.
What we offer?
Salary: Commencing salary circa $112,200 p.a. plus superannuation.

Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
