The Role

There is an exciting opportunity within Council's Engineering Services for an enthusiastic, customer-focused, highly skilled professional to join our Transport team, as Senior Transport Engineer. Reporting to the Transport Coordinator, this role supports Council in the preparation and development of transport and parking related policies, strategies, procedures and guidelines. In this role you will effectively plan, monitor, review and control Council's transport network including infrastructure development, traffic and parking management programs in collaboration with transport partners and service providers.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have the following:

• Degree in Civil/Transport Engineering. Additional qualifications in transport engineering, planning and/or management will be considered favourably.
• Substantial knowledge and extensive experience in traffic and transport engineering, planning and design practices and principles within a local government environment or equivalent.
• Experience in best practice contract and tendering management particularly related to transport and traffic engineering capital projects and consulting services.
• Professional Engineers Registration in Victoria.
• Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
