A full-time, permanent opportunity based in Brisbane is available for an experienced Engineering Manager, with a specialisation in civil, water, dams or mine closure. As the Engineering Manager, you will demonstrate a clear and concise communication style and possess the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally. You will take ownership and be responsible for the engineering management of the full life cycle of projects from planning and design through to construction.

As the successful candidate, you will: 

• Provide leadership to, and coordinate the efforts of design teams
• Manage client interface 
• Develop the engineering budget, schedule and scope for projects and maintain an effective change management system.
• Develop the engineering work packages (EWPs) for all deliverables and time-based functions.
• Regularly review and appraise the structure of the engineering project team in terms of its ability, and institute appropriate changes. 
• Direct and review the engineering activities to ensure that work quality is satisfactory and appropriate technical personnel development programs are conducted

As the Engineering Manager, you will demonstrate a clear and concise communication style and possess the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally. You will take ownership of the engineering management for the full life cycle of projects, from estimating and design through to construction.  This role best suits a self -motivated, pragmatic and adaptable professional who is looking to take the next step in their career. 
 

You hold relevant tertiary qualifications and have significant experience in a multidisciplinary environment, with specialization in civil, water, dams or mine closure. Combined with extensive experience in engineering systems, design and the application of engineering processes.  This will include a competent understanding of legislation and standards

You have an uncompromising drive to achieve best-practice outcomes and have a continuous improvement mindset.  As a proven leader, you will have a talent for bringing together teams focused on common goals and the ability to develop their technical capabilities
