About the Role
The role of the Contracts Manager is to lead a team of Contract Specialists, Contract Administrators and Administrative support staff focused on the management of construction, services and material/equipment supply and installation contracts during the execution of EPCM projects. This position is vital in carrying a Project to an on-time, on-budget completion. This successful candidate will be the owner of the entire contracting process, both pre and post award activities. Key accountabilities of the Contracts Manager include negotiating the terms and conditions in contracts, ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions, including documenting and agreeing on any changes that may arise during its implementation or execution.
Systematic and efficient management of Contract formation, execution/administration, and analysis to maximize financial, scope and schedule related performance and minimize risk is essential to your success in this role.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will possess the following essential skills and experience:
• Engineering or Business degree and extensive experience in domestic and international contract management activities.
• Extensive experience in a Major project delivery environment
• Related training in Contracts/Legal as well as general project and management related training
• Experience with drafting of commercial terms and conditions and an understanding of accompanying legal implications
• Excellent understanding of Contract processes
• Experience in dispute resolution techniques and their applications
• Experience in the administration of construction/service contracts
