About the Role
As the Area Manager, you carry clear responsibility and accountability for delivery of the objectives for a project area as agreed by the Project Manager, taking into consideration the full project lifecycle including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and project controls; you will coordinate, monitor and control your area of the project in line with the detailed scope, cost and schedule control baselines and manages any project changes in terms of this agreed baseline. In addition, you will ensure governance of your project area, specifically compliance to project delegations of authority, procedures and policies, ensure kick off meetings and weekly/bi-weekly progress meetings are held with each contractor to monitor progress and manage change. The Area Manager is also responsible for the coordination and monitoring of area team members in their performance and influences their activities as necessary to ensure project requirements are achieved. This prole plays a critical role in safety compliance on site, actively promoting and demonstrating behaviours aligned to Hatch’s goal of achieving a total safety culture.
