THE POSITION: This role is located with the Cabramatta Place and Major Events team. The position is involved in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of Council’s major events. Council’s major events are currently defined as Moon Festival, Bring It On! Youth Festival, Culinary Carnival, Illuminate NYE and Cabramatta Lunar New Year.
The position is also involved in developing, managing, and implementing Council’s marketing initiatives including website, social media campaigns and graphic design schedule for the annual events calendar. The role produces project scopes, schedules and delivers operational aspects to ensure quality outcomes.
The position is required to develop, promote and implement standards and procedures that reflect best practice in the event and promotion industry.
The role will assist the Major Events Director & Sponsorship Officer to conduct an ongoing program of sponsorship and grant funding for the major event program e.g. Moon Festival.
The position will work in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders involved in the development, implementation and management of activities for the Cabramatta Place and Major Events Team.
